Prep Time: 40 minutes

Caters to: 5 gobblers

Challenge Level: Intermediate level

From The Pantry:

  • 3 lobster tails, steamed
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon creole seasoning

Cook Away:

  1. Remove the lobster meal from the shell and coarsely chop. Set aside for further use.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter at medium heat.
  3. Add onions, garlic and celery. Cook for 5 minutes or until the garlic smell goes away and the onions start to brown.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour chicken stock and cook for 10 minutes or until thickened. Stir occasionally for uniform cooking.
  6. Add lobster meat to the thickened bisque. Stir in half-and-half and creole seasoning. Cook for 10  minutes or until heated through.
